ONTARIO GRAVE MARKERS

Dates of activity tally with documented sources; no doubt makers worked over a longer period of time. Sources include advertisements, business and city directories, county atlases, assessments, censuses, death notices, reliable secondary sources and death dates on signed grave markers (which can be helpful but may not always correspond to the date of carving). Included are tombstone manufacturers, marble manufacturers, marble dealers, marble cutters, marble polishers, marble workers, marble dressers, proprietors of marble works, proprietors of granite works, sculptors and architects who designed grave monuments.
